Tall Upcycled Bookcase

It's a tale as old as time - especially here in New York: people move into an apartment. They get fast furniture to fill their space for the duration that they live there. When they move, they don't have enough space, time or energy to take it with them. It's much easier to just toss it out. Then they start the process over again at their next place. And the landfill gets more and more full.

This bookcase came into Final Strike's custody from this exact not-so-thrilling fairytale. Josh and Laicey were walking in Astoria, NY, and a couple were tossing out several quality pieces in the process of their move. Josh and Laicey rescued and incorporated them into Final Strike's upcycled inventory! While Laicey was bringing this beauty back to life, she appreciated the likeness of its wood tone to the recently finished pair of stools, so she decided to add the contrasting white flare on the inside walls to match.
